Murrieta Centerpoint Church Wedding | Abigail and William

Abigail and Will met at Centerpoint Church in the youth ministry. He was the worship leader and she helped out with the high school girls. They started talking right away! Only one week later he took her to Disneyland and asked her to be his girlfriend. They quickly fell in love....however I know Will went into her salon weekly to get his hair cut. That is one way to get to know a pretty girl! :) They always sought to kept God first in their relationship and knew that one day he would unite them in marriage. What a pleasure it was to get to know them and work with their friends and family. Thank you two so much. You have been amazing and it is great to call you friends.

Melissa Jill | Business | Weddings | Life

Gearing up, Wrapping up, gearing up, and still going!!!

The last week and half my schedule has been sheer madness. After my back-to-back weddings on Saturday and Sunday I had the amazing opportunity to attend the MJ2DAY seminar out in Orange County. A two day course jammed pack with wonderful tips and knowledge in photography and business, it met all my expectations of what I wanted to learn. Grant it I was exhausted from my weddings and constantly found myself saying, "Did I miss something?", in the middle of her teachings. Processing, to say the least, was a challenge. The morning after I returned at 11:00 pm two of my boys started school, meanwhile my oldest was still in his football hell week and now that I was home I got to be the driver. The following day was registration for my oldest son's first year of high school. From there things get a little blurry as a heat wave was pounding down on Southern California and I still had three more days of insanity left. Friday I got smart and canceled one event knowing I would be of no use to the people involved. Saturday was a full day of cooking and cleaning as it was my turn to host a fancy dinner with my friends that we have once a season. It was a Cajon and Creole theme and was very fitting as the weather turned to south like thunderstorms and jumped to 60% or more humidity. Finally, and the absolute highlight of my madness ended with my oldest son's baptism. What a joy to see him grow into a young man as he took the stand before all our church sharing his testimony and being bold for Christ. The following day he started high school and I collapsed on the living room floor and took a nap!

So, even with all this I could not get my mind off MelissaJill and all that she had to give. I learned more than I can apply during this season in my life and business but have big goals and changes coming my way. One of the biggest things I walked away with is "Systematize, systematize, systematize!" Keep a look out for that topic to hit my blog. It is going to be a crazy one. The other thing that will be a huge change is a new and improved blog. Watch for it!

Here are a few pictures of my week....though I barely picked up my camera. :)

MelissaJill is an amazing business woman and photographer. Having a spot in her seminar was a huge privilege. She filled me with valuable information I look forward to implementing in my business. I think I need to work on my posture too!  :)
Themed dinner dates with these beautiful women and their husbands is a tradition we started last year. They are the best.
I love him!!

Oak Glen Wedding Photography | Riverside Wedding Photography | Harrison

Heather and Robbie have been great from the get go. When we met I found out that Robbie worked at the high school my oldest was going to attend. It was fun to think that I would see a friendly face there for the next four years. They decided to take their engagement photos in Downtown Riverside since that is where they spent most of their dating years. Well, their wedding was amazing and the friends that were in the party were hilarious. Good times were had and lots of laughs ruled the night.

Little Miss wanted to put her lipgloss on all my her self! She did well! Her mama is looking on!

The little man!! He was fantastic!
 First Look!
Stay tuned for beautiful ceremony pictures and hilarious reception photos. It was a blast!

Let's meet!

Beautiful, outside locations is where most of my photography happens but inside, lifestyle shoots is a wonderful way to capture family life as it happens. I enjoy both. Taking pictures is great fun for me as I capture the little moments and life's events.
